At this parking location, EuroPark is responsible for the processing of personal data as the data controller.

  • is responsible for ensuring that the processing complies with applicable law

Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Personal data is processed at this location for the following purposes:
 
  • provision of parking services
  • management of parking rights
  • parking enforcement
  • processing of parking payments
  • invoicing and debt collection of any unpaid charges
  • customer service and handling of complaints

Systems Used at This Location

One or more of the following systems may be used at this location:
 
  • AutoPay (automatic parking based on vehicle registration number recognition)
  • Pay & Park (parking based on a parking payment made by the customer)

Camera Surveillance

Camera surveillance may be used at this location.

Camera Surveillance Related to Parking

Camera surveillance used for the provision of parking services is based on the parking contract, i.e. the parking terms and conditions applicable at the parking area.
 
As part of this processing:
 
  • the vehicle registration number is recognised by a camera
  • the start and end of the parking session are recorded
  • the information is used to manage the parking session and process payments
The amount of image material captured and stored is limited:
 
  • the camera is primarily focused on the vehicle registration number
  • only the vehicle’s entry into and exit from the parking area are recorded
  • no unnecessary image material is collected

Camera Surveillance for Security Purposes

Where camera surveillance is used at the location to ensure safety and security, the processing is based on EuroPark’s legitimate interests.
 
The purposes of such camera surveillance are to:
 
  • prevent misuse
  • improve safety and security within the parking area

Recipients of Personal Data

Personal data may be processed by or disclosed to the following parties:
 
  • payment service providers
  • invoicing and debt collection partners
  • IT and system service providers
  • mobile payment service providers (e.g. EasyPark, ParkMan) in connection with their own services

Rights of the Data Subject

As a data subject, you have several rights concerning your personal data.
 
  • Right of access
    • You may request information about the personal data processed about you and obtain a copy of that data.
  • Right to rectification
    • You may request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Right to erasure
    • You may request the erasure of your personal data if the processing is no longer necessary or if the processing is unlawful.
    • Please note that not all personal data can be erased immediately if its retention is necessary, for example, for payment processing or compliance with legal obligations.
  • Right to restriction of processing
    • You may request that the processing of your personal data be restricted in certain circumstances, for example, where the accuracy of the data is contested.
  • Right to object
    • You may object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation where the processing is based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to data portability
    • Where applicable, you may request to receive the personal data you have provided in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
    • You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Ombudsman if you believe that your personal data has been processed unlawfully.
