EuroPark as Data Processor (Operating on Behalf of the Data Controller)
Data Controller
The data controller for the parking location is generally the owner or operator of the parking location, or another party on whose behalf EuroPark provides parking services at the location. More detailed information on the processing of personal data by the data controller and on how data subjects can exercise their rights is generally available in the privacy notice of the owner, operator, or other relevant party responsible for the parking location.
At This Location
At this parking location, the data controller is responsible for the processing of personal data.
EuroPark acts on behalf of the data controller and:
- processes personal data in accordance with the data controller’s instructions
- operates the parking service
- does not independently determine the purposes of the processing
Processing of Personal Data at This Location
Personal data is processed for the provision of parking services, the processing of payments, and the enforcement of parking rights.
Systems Used at This Location
The following systems may be used at this location:
AutoPay
- the vehicle registration number is recognised by a camera
- a parking session is created automatically
- parking is paid for automatically or after the parking session
Pay & Park
- the customer pays for parking in advance
- the right to park is based on payment
- parking rights are subject to enforcement

Camera Surveillance Related to Parking
Camera surveillance related to parking operations is based on the parking terms and conditions, which form a parking contract between the data subject and the data controller.
EuroPark processes such personal data on behalf of the data controller.
As part of the processing:
- the vehicle registration number is recognised
- a parking session is created
- payment-related information is processed
The following data minimisation principles apply:
- the vehicle registration number is the primary information captured
- only events relating to vehicle entry and exit are recorded
- no unnecessary image material is collected
Camera Surveillance for Security Purposes
Where camera surveillance is used for security purposes, the processing is based on the legitimate interests of the data controller.
EuroPark carries out this processing on behalf of the data controller and in accordance with the data controller’s instructions.
Recipients of Personal Data
Personal data may be processed on behalf of the data controller by, for example:
- the AutoPay platform provider
- payment service providers
- mobile payment service providers
- invoicing and debt collection service providers
- IT and system service providers
Rights of the Data Subject
All requests concerning the rights of the data subject must be addressed to the data controller.
