Pay & Park Privacy Policy


1. Description of the System


Pay & Park is a parking system in which parking is paid for at the start of the parking session, either at a payment machine or through a mobile payment application.
 
The system is based on payment made by the customer and the enforcement of parking rights.

2. Personal Data Processed


The following personal data may be processed in the Pay & Park system:
 
Payment Machines

  • vehicle registration number
  • payment transaction information
  • information relating to the payment method
Mobile Payment

  • vehicle registration number
  • parking information
  • payment information
  • user account information in the mobile application
Parking Enforcement

  • vehicle registration number
  • vehicle information
  • photographs, where applicable
  • parking enforcement event information

3. Processing Logic


  • the customer pays for parking in advance
  • the payment information is stored in the system
  • parking enforcement verifies the validity of the parking right
  • where a parking violation occurs, an enforcement event is recorded

4. Purposes of Processing


Personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • provision of parking services
  • processing of parking payments
  • parking enforcement
  • processing of parking enforcement charges
  • customer service

5. Recipients of Personal Data


Personal data may be disclosed or otherwise processed by the following recipients and service providers, as applicable:
 
  • payment service providers
  • mobile payment service providers (e.g. EasyPark, ParkMan)
  • debt collection and invoicing partners
  • IT service providers
Mobile payment service providers act as independent data controllers with regard to their own services.

6. EuroPark’s Role


In the Pay & Park system, EuroPark acts either as:
 
  • the data controller; or
  • the data processor.
EuroPark’s role is determined on a parking location-specific basis.

7. Data Retention


Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it is processed and in accordance with applicable legislation.

8. Automated Decision-Making


The system does not involve automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning the data subject or similarly significantly affects the data subject.
